Nowadays, there is a heated debate over the issue of the only one child in families. On one hand, some people argue that there are many disadvantages of being an only one child in a family. On the other hand, others think it is good that there is only one child in families. In my opinion, it is better for couples to have only one child.
First of all, one advantage of being only one child is that parents can take care of their child well. Everyone has to adapt the changing society because everything changes fast now. Parents have to work hard to earn more money for having a good life. As a result, parents almost have no time to look after their children. Moreover, if they have only one child, they can educate the child much better. For example, I have an elder sister. Both of my parents have to work hard to make a good life for us so that they have limited time to look after my sister an. However, I always stay alone and my parents cannot look after my sister and me well.
Secondly, another advantage of being only one child is that families can make our environment better. The pollution has been more and more serious now because of the increase of the world's population. If there is only one child in a family, it will be a good way to save resouces. In China, all students use new books every semester, but we have one child policy now. Almost every student is the only one child now so that a lot of trees need not to be cut down to make books.
The last but not the least advantage of being only one child is that it is equal to women and men. In some poor areas in China, many families have three to five children because they want to have a boy baby. If the mother gives a birth to a girl baby, they will give birth to another baby. Parents always let their boy baby go to better schools and give them better clothes and food. If there is only one child in a family, parents will look after their baby no matter what the sex their baby is.
In conclusion, there are many advantages of being only one child in a family. Parents can look after their child well, our environment can be better and women and men can be equal if there is only one child in a family.
