Maple in Chicago

This weekend, I have been to Chicago. It was a really intersesting and pressing trip.

I left to Chicago last Friday without attending the ESL class because my parents arrived in O'Hare airport at 8:00p.m. I have to set off at 3:30p.m. in order to meet them at airport. On the way to the airport, I was so excited that can't fall asleep.I missed my parents so much.

(4 hours passing...)

I arrived the airport earlier than my parents, I waited in the terminal 5 for about half an hour. While my cell phone was ringing, I did not see my parents but a big cute bear coming this way. I was really confused. Suddenly, my parents appeares behind the bear which was the gift they send to me. I was so moving that I gave my parents an affectionate hug.

Then we went to the hotel. We talked a lot about my life in the U.S. We ordered a large pizza to eat. We were so happy that the family got together again. We slept late at night because we were really excited.

On Saturday, we went to the Chinatown. That place was familiar to us. We could eat all kinds of Chinese food there and we could also buy a lot of goods. We got there about 2 o'clock. We did not have breakfast or lunch, so we were so hungry. We decided to eat the hot pot which is famous in China. We ordered lots of dishes, such as beef, vegetables, tofu and so on because of our hunger. After that,it was about 6 o'clock, we went for a walk. The moonlit scene in Chicago was really beautiful. My parents enjoyed the Michigan Lake and high buildings in downtown. And then we went back to the hotel. We slept earlier that day.

On Sunday,we woke up early. And then we went to downtown by train. After we had breakfast, we started shopping. I bought many things, two pairs of shoes, one bag,one sweater and a pair of gloves. I like my parents because they bought many things which I liked very much for me. However, they would leave for Miami in the afternoon. I would come back to the university 6:30. They saw me off in the airport. I said goodbye to them, but I cannot help crying. I loved my parents and I would miss them so much.

Happy birthday to myself

According to the The New York Times in Sep. 15th, 1990, A pretty girl called Maple was born in Ningbo, Zhe jiang, China. (kidding~)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I wanted to buy a birthday cake in order to celebrate my birthday with somebody who can find the way because, as you know, I am terrible at finding directions. When I was considering who I can call, Elijah Zhang who has good sense of direction told me that he was so boring because of the everitt lab. So we went to the County Market which is really far from my dorm. It took me 30 mins to walk there(at that time I really hoped I could own a car and I could drive it~ )

... ...

Unfortunately, there was no birthday cake in the County Market, we only could buy material to make a cake.

(2 hours later we got back to Allen)

... ...

In the Allen's kitchen

Elijah was busying making cake, I was busying stealing cream.

At 11:55, We turned off the light and used flashlights to make bright because birthday candles can not use in dorm. After a few minutes Yong Song said to other guys "start" and the song "Happy birthday to you" was played. I was really really moved so that my tears streamed down my face. It's the first I celebrated my birthday not with my parents. After that they told me to make three wishes before blowing out the candles. So I did as they told to me. I hope my wishes would come true. And then we began to eat the cake. I cut the cake into several pieces and handed them round. I thought the cake was the most delicious in the world because it was made by ourselves. What was more, so many friends celebrated the birthday for me.

Thanks to my friends and I will never forget the 19th birthday forever.

This ia Maple!

Look, the girl who was buried in the sand is Maple. She was borned in Ningbo, a port city surrouded by seas in Zhejiang, China. The picture was taken in Huangcheng Beach, a foumous beach in China when she was only 5 years old. She used to go swimming in summer. She really enjoy sunshine , beach and different kinds of sea food.

Look at the picture carefully. Can you find Maple? She was at the second line, the third one from left to right, who is in green and white T-shirt. She retained a lot of sweet memories of outings. In fact, it might even have been one of the most important events in her lives when she was a pupil. She love making friends and hanging out with them. Friends are most important in her life.

(this is taken in Yulong Snow Mountain in Yunnan )
She love travelling. She has spent 1 month to travel around the southeast of China. During that time, She fall in love with her boyfriend , who is now in Florda.

This is Maple, loving beach, making friends and travelling.
